Barr. Ngozi Jindu Ikechukwu
Barrister Ngozi Jindu Ikechukwu is a Law Officer in the Ministry of Justice, Lagos State, where she currently holds the position of Assistant Chief State Counsel. She also serves as the Head of Unit, Ajegunle Sub-Office of the Bureau of Public Defender, Lagos State.
She obtained her Bachelor of Laws (LL.B Hons.) degree from Delta State University and her Barrister-at-Law (B.L) qualification from the Nigerian Law School, University of Lagos Campus, and was subsequently called to the Nigerian Bar .Prior to her appointment into the Lagos State Public Service, she worked in the private sector as a Company Secretary.
She is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association (Badagry Branch) and the International Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA), Badagry Branch.
Her areas of professional practice include Criminal Litigation, Corporate Governance, Employment and Labour Law, Maritime Law and Shipping, Environmental Law, Family Law, Intellectual Property, Governance Compliance and Investigation, Dispute Resolution, Infrastructure Law, and related matters.
In the course of her duties, she has been actively involved in child advocacy, with particular emphasis on the protection of children’s rights and the promotion of the welfare of children in all ramifications, in line with applicable laws and policies.
