Mrs. Oluwatoni LADIPO
Mrs. Oluwatoni LADIPO is an Assistant Director in Lagos State Ministry of Justice. She is a graduate of the Lagos State University, (LASU) Ojo where she received her L.L.B. Certificate in 2000. she proceeded to the Nigerian Law School, Lagos Campus where she received her B.L. in 2002.
She worked in the chambers of B. A. M. Fashanu (SAN) from 2002- 2006 as an Associate Counsel where she became seasoned in legal practice. She joined the Lagos State Civil Service in 2007 as a State Counsel in the Directorate of Civil Litigation.

She was deployed to the Lagos State Wastewater Management Office in 2011 where she set up and managed the Legal Unit. While there, she was a part of the team that put together the Lagos state Environmental laws which is still being used and she ensured prosecution of recalcitrant wastewater polluters and offenders.
Further posting from the Ministry of Justice took her to the Bureau of The Public Defender, where she is currently serving and has had several responsibilities, which includes:

  • • Heading and coordinating the activities of Ajegunle sub-Office
  • • Participation in the activities of the Campaign Committee
  • • Participation in the activities of the Training Committee
  • • Heading and coordinating the activities of the family & Child Justice Unit
  • • Heading and coordinating the activities of the Project Collaboration Committee

She presently heads and coordinates the activities of Ogba Sub-Office, Alimosho and Agege Annex Offices and the Data Committee.
Over the years she has developed core competency in Litigation, Preparation of contracts, Legal Advisory, Training and Mediation among others. She has attended several training and workshops within the outside the country on various subject areas of law. She is a member of the NBA Ikeja Branch, International bar Association (IBA) and also an associate member of the institute of chartered mediators and conciliators (ICMC).
She is passionate about service for the benefit of others, she works hard to give advice, assistance and bring succor to the multitude of people she comes across in the course of her work at the Bureau of The Public Defender. She is happily married with children.
